Refund & Returns Policy

1. Overview
We want you to be happy with your purchase.

This policy sets out your rights and how returns work when purchasing from the Jade McFay Store.



2. Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations)
You can cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your item.

When the right to cancel does not apply
The legal right to cancel does not apply to goods that are custom‑made or clearly personalised for you (for example, a book signed with a personalised dedication such as “To [Name]”). It may also not apply to bundles where sealed items have been opened, and it does not apply to items that are returned not in a resalable condition. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Signed editions
Our standard signed editions are not personalised to individual customers. Therefore, standard signed books remain eligible for the 14‑day cancellation right, provided they are returned in resalable condition.

Personalised inscriptions (when offered)
If you choose a personalised inscription or dedication, that item will be treated as clearly personalised and will not be eligible for cancellation unless it is faulty.



3. How to Cancel
Email us at Returns@jademcfay.com with:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • Reason for return

We will confirm acceptance and provide return instructions.



4. Condition of Returned Items
To be eligible for a refund:

  • Items must be unused
  • In their original packaging
  • Undamaged

We may reduce your refund if the product value is diminished due to handling beyond what is necessary to inspect it.



5. Return Shipping Costs
Return postage costs are the customer’s responsibility unless:

  • The item is faulty
  • The item is damaged in transit
  • You received the wrong item

We recommend using a tracked service.



6. Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  • Contact us within 48 hours
  • Include photos of the issue and packaging

We will offer:

  • A replacement
  • Or a full refund

7. Refund Timeframe
Once the return is received and approved:

  • Refunds are issued within 5–10 business days
  • Refunds are made to your original payment method

Shipping costs are non‑refundable unless the item was faulty.
